All currently enrolled students were placed on an Approved Leave of Absence (LOA) for six months. This means everything is on hold until the institution resumes online, or the campus resumes normal operations. There is nothing that you need to do.
We encourage students to contact our Student Loan Counseling Department to discuss the options that are available, or contact your loan servicer. Interest will not accrue on federally held student loans, beginning on March 13, 2020, for both current and out-of-school students. As of right now all repayment of Federal Loans have been placed on an automatic deferment, without interest accruing through September 30th, 2020. The Department of Education may extend that period, depending on the status of the COVID-19 emergency.
If you were approved and eligible for Financial Aid, but never started, all funds are left in an estimated status. Federal student aid will not be disbursed until campus operations resume.
Our Veterans, and Post-9/11 GI Bill students who were attending on campus courses, which are now being converted to an online platform, will resume receiving the monthly housing allowance once the new payment periods have been determined.
We understand that many of our students are experiencing additional expenses related to the disruption of campus operations as a result of COVID-19. Our Bristol, PA and Blackwood, NJ campuses each received a HEERF grant. This grant was created under the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. These funds will be distributed via a need-based points formula, which will be used to provide relief to our students, and/or their families, affected by the COVID-19 predicament. Eligibility Requirements: As of right now, all enrolled students at Pennco Tech have been placed on an Approved Leave of Absence (LOA). The HEERF provided to Pennco Tech under the CARES Act will be available to Financial Aid eligible, and enrolled (LOA), students only. These students must have a completed and processed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file. If you are eligible and have incurred expenses related to the disruption of campus operations, please complete the steps below to acknowledge receipt of the emergency grant funds.
