Is Vocational School Affordable?

October 5th, 2023

Attending a vocational school program can be the best decision a student can make. Finding an occupation that fits their talents and aspirations helps shape the lives of families and communities. Gainful employment provides students with the ability to invest in their futures. While school related costs can seem worrisome, students confide or rely on in the financial aid department for guidance and assistance. Students in New Jersey and Pennsylvania can find financial aid services for vocational training at Pennco Tech.

Do You Qualify For Financial Aid?

The first question to answer is whether you are eligible for financial aid. Luckily, there are several types of aid available, including student loans, grants, scholarships, and private loans. To find out whether you are qualified to receive federal student loans or other government-sponsored assistance, the first step is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is the basis for determining what kinds of aid may be available from federal and state funding sources. After submitting this form online, the financial aid office at Pennco Tech can help determine how much assistance and what types of aid are available to you. There may be scholarships for which you can apply, as well. Private loans may be another option.

Pennco Tech offers resources for planning the financing of your education. Staff at our Student Loan Counseling Department can provide information about the schedule for repayment of loans after graduation.

    • Meratas Loans (geared for students of exceptional need)

Pennco Tech offers individual consultations for students, so we can help with the process of applying for financial aid, determining what student loans are available, and planning for financial obligations.

Not every job will have the same conditions, and they’ll often depend on what work setting you’ll be in, along with other factors. However, it’s beneficial to continuously update your skillset with additional training as the industry changes. This can help increase your marketability and chances of a promotion later in your career. Many car repair estimators go on to management positions, or pursue higher-level insurance roles, with additional training and certification.
