Almost all of us make resolutions and promises to ourselves whenever the New Year comes around. However, whether we resolve to start hitting the gym, break bad habits, or be more mindful of our eating, it’s an unfortunate fact that most of our resolutions tend to fall by the wayside. But it doesn’t always have to be that way.
This year, the team at Pennco Tech challenges you to make a resolution this year to invest in yourself with a new career—and stick to it. How, you may ask? Having seen countless students of our’s graduate and find successful careers, follow these tips for a New Year’s resolution that lasts a lifetime.
1. Choose a path
From Automotive Technology to Medical Assistant programs in Camden County and Bucks County, we offer a variety of courses and areas of study for you to choose from. You can consult with one of our knowledgeable admissions representatives to discover the choice that is right for you and embark on your journey to your new career!
2. Talk to our industry experts
If you don’t know where to start in choosing a new career path, the best way to get your feet wet is to come take a tour of our facilities and speak with our admissions representatives and industry expert instructors who teach in a field that sparks your interest. For instance, if you’re thinking about going into Automotive Technology, come in and talk to one of our automotive instructors to get for a feel for whether it may be a good fit for you.
3. Lay out a plan
One of the best ways to keep a new resolution is to create a plan for precisely what you’ll be doing. Our education team will help you decide when you’ll apply and when you would like to start, not to mention when you’ll graduate so that you can picture where the goal posts are. Also, remember that if you need any help whatsoever, our representatives are happy to lend a hand.
4. Invest in your knowledge base
Just because the first day of class isn’t for a few months doesn’t mean you can’t start learning yet. Find books on your new vocation, keep up with industry blogs, and read anything you can get your hands on to help you hit the ground running once classes begin.
5. Perseverance makes perfect
It takes dedication and hard work to get to the finish line. If you ever feel like giving up, just remember the fulfilling career awaiting you once you finish your program—and don’t be afraid to rely on your instructors and classmates for moral support.
