We’re Now Offering OSHA 10 Certification at Pennco Tech!

At Pennco Tech, we’re more than just the best refrigeration technician school in Camden County. We’re also committed to continually adding new educational opportunities for students into our already impressive curriculum. And now, we’re proud to announce that Pennco Tech is an official learning and testing site for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) 10-hour outreach certification.

The Program

The OSHA Outreach Training Program was initiated in 1971 to provide education of the reduction, avoidance, recognition, and prevention of workplace hazards. The 10-hour program consists of training for entry-level workers during a session of classes promoting the health and safety of their job sites.

Our First Session

In July, we began to incorporate this certification program into our curriculum at our Bristol Campus for students in the HVAC&R and Electrician programs. Over 65 students enrolled in our day and evening classes were certified with their OSHA 10 cards for construction safety and health. These first Bristol campus students of the training program now join the 4.16 million trainees who have undergone the certification in the last five years. The cost to our students was merely the $10.00 fee for their OSHA cards.

Adding to a Tradition of Excellence

At Pennco Tech, we’re dedicated to providing our students with the most comprehensive education in their sector. This includes supplementing their learning experiences with information on industry-trusted organizations like OSHA, workers’ rights, and employee responsibilities. We do this to prepare them for successful careers in the field of their choice.

And given the success of our first OSHA 10 certification program, we’re happy to announce we will now be incorporating them into our curriculum beginning this October. These courses will also be offered to non-active students, and the first session is October 10th and 11th, from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM for both nights. To be eligible for the completion of the program and to receive a course certificate, you must be present for both sessions, in their entirety.
