BRISTOL, PA, APRIL 15, 2020 — Today, all across the country, healthcare facilities are trying to keep their physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other caregivers healthy and supported. Now facing a shortage of necessary medical supplies, these extraordinary professionals are confronted with unprecedented challenges every day at work.
Pennco Tech’s Bristol, PA, and Blackwood, NJ, campuses step up to help the impending shortage of medical supplies hospitals are facing in the coming weeks in the fight against coronavirus (COVID-19).
“At Pennco Tech, we asked ourselves how we could help the front-line healthcare professionals,” said Jason Hobyak, Vice President of Pennco Tech. “Because we are a trade school and offer life-essential healthcare career programs, we were uniquely positioned to provide in-demand supplies to support the most urgent needs of these caregivers. We wanted to donate to a hospital that was in critical need of these medical supply donations and reached out to Temple University Health System so they can continue to provide essential services for those in need, adds Hobyak.”
This week, the Pennco Tech staff pulled together boxes of masks, gloves, gowns, hand sanitizers, and other supplies to be delivered to Temple University Health System so medical workers could continue to fight the coronavirus outbreak. Donating these essential supplies will serve a higher mission of protecting health and saving lives. As the coronavirus continues to impact our communities, donations, like this, can assist those on the front lines.
