Our Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Heating program at Pennco Tech offers an unrivaled level of instruction and education for our students and future technicians. Not only do we provide in-classroom training, including the use of textbooks, software, and other resources, but we also provide effective hands-on training from our dedicated instructors. This means that a committed educator with several years of experience will be with you every step of the way, guiding and informing your training sessions.
As part of our comprehensive technical education at Pennco Tech, we provide training in basic safety and other regulations of ACRH repair and maintenance. In addition, we offer instruction in facets of the industry like gas properties and heat transfer to promote safe working conditions throughout students’ careers. We also offer specialized training in system evacuation, circuits and soldering, and pipefitting for the students in our ACRH program.
Other skills learned in the ACRH programs and certification include education in personal and environmental safety, and the responsible handling, identification, and use of all related equipment. We also feature instruction on basic principles of electricity, gas, oil, and heat pump systems, and installation and maintenance practices in our classes.
Hands-on learning is combined with classroom instruction to create a well-rounded and all-inclusive education for students pursuing a career to be an ACRH technician. All this is included to provide a full spectrum of skills and proficiencies for our students so they can succeed in this high-demand field.
