If you’re under the impression that attending a four-year college is the only way to make a good living and find a well-paying job, consider this – many people find success and fulfillment working skilled trade jobs, which are always growing in demand. At Pennco Tech, we offer students a variety of trade programs to help them find secure and rewarding career paths. Here, we discuss the programs Pennco Tech offers and why these fields are in high–demand for qualified candidates.

Automotive Technology

As long as people rely on cars and trucks for means of transportation, this profession will always be in high demand. For most people, this means of transportation is their livelihood and how they get from one place to another. When a person’s car or truck breaks down, it can be crucial they have it fixed quickly to not disrupt their everyday lives. An automotive technology program will teach students how to properly use all the tools of the trade while repairing brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, computerized engine diagnostics, and more. Further, as the world moves toward electric-powered vehicles, professionals in the automotive technology field will be more needed than ever.

Collision Repair

With what seems like more and more people on the road, accidents and collisions are bound to happen. This makes collision repair professions very desirable, as skilled technicians are needed everywhere drivers are found. In other words, people will always need quality collision repair services to get their vehicles back on the road and looking great.

Diesel Technology

Like most machinery, diesel engines are not perfect, meaning they can break down or have issues that could lead to serious problems. Professions that service, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines will always be needed as diesel trucks become more common, especially as the biodiesel industry grows. Diesel technology trade programs teach students the ins and outs of diesel engines, allowing them to properly perform maintenance on trucks, buses, and commercial and industrial vehicles that run on diesel or biodiesel.

Electrician

As technology advances seemingly every day, electronic devices and building components that rely on electricity grow as well. Because of this advancement, electricians will always be in high demand. People are using more electricity than before, and more electricians are needed to install and maintain these electrical systems. As a result, electrician trade programs can offer students a rewarding profession with relative ease of finding a job after graduation.
