How many clock hours does VA consider a student full-time?

A student is considered full time when enrolling for the day programs at 34 hours per week A student is considered half-time when enrolling in the evening programs at 12 hours per week

After applying, how can a student find out if they are eligible for VA education benefits?

March 23rd, 2021

The VA will mail the Certificate of Eligibility (COE), or award letter, within 30 days from the date the VA application was submitted.  The COE includes details of the VA education benefit that the student is entitled. Applicants can call the VA Education Call Center 888-GIBILL-1 (888-442-4551), two-weeks after applying, to learn if they are eligible.
