In as little 18 weeks you can graduate as a Medical Assistant. Because of the rapid changes in health care, there has been a high demand for qualified medical assistants in our region. Employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 29% over the next ten years.

Graduates of the Medical Assistant program will have the skills necessary for a rewarding career in a variety of medical and health care settings. Students gain skills in clinical areas, perform laboratory tests and assume a variety of office administration responsibilities. You’ll also get to experience an interactive tool designed for Medical Offices, which prepares students for a modern medical office environment with realistic environments, interactive assessments, and help you master critical job readiness skills and competencies.

Train for an entry-level position in the healthcare industry through the medical assistant program at Pennco Tech. Through this program, you gain basic knowledge and skills required to become a medical assistant including anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. About Our Medical Assistant Training Program

Featuring an engaging curriculum, the medical assistant program is made up of courses that teach essential skills through hands-on education. Students work under the careful guidance of our knowledgeable instructors, who all have first-hand experience in the field.

Students will learn and build a professional vocabulary of medical terminology, basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and clinical office procedures. Many graduates of the medical assistant program will immediately assume positions as medical assistants in clinics, hospitals, health care facilities, doctor’s offices, and more.

CERTIFICATIONS

Upon successful program completion, graduates from our Bristol campus may apply to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) examination designated by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), and after passing this examination they may use the credential CCMA.

At our Blackwood campus, students can apply to take the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) examination by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) and after passing this examination may use the CMA credential.

NOTE: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification is required for admission to the program.
