This program focuses on panel installation, refinishing, frame straightening, and painting. You’ll see sparks fly when you work with TIG and MIG welding equipment and plasma cutters. Emphasis is placed on new tools, techniques, and processes in the field of auto refinishing.

Inspecting cars for structural damage
Fitting, grinding, TIG welding, MIG welding, and plasma cutters
Sanding, buffing, priming, and painting
Metal finishing, shrinking and filling techniques
Auto body electrical wiring systems
Maintain and operate spray equipment
Prepare and apply body fillers
Waterborne and solvent-borne painting technologies

Successful graduates of this program may be eligible to take the industry-recognized certification test sponsored by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
