Are you looking for a career where you don’t have to do the same thing every day? Then the Collision Repair Program is for you! In a little over 6 months you can gain hands-on training for a rewarding career in the Collision Repair industry. Students will receive training in skills involving damage and repair and painting. This program focuses on panel installation, refinishing, frame straightening, and painting. You’ll see sparks fly when you work with TIG and MIG welding equipment and plasma cutters.  Emphasis is placed on new tools, techniques, and processes in the field of auto refinishing.

Whether it’s in for minor paint scratches or damage from a collision, professionals in this field help restore vehicles to showroom quality with a high level of precision. Collision Repair technicians are responsible for a variety of tasks, such as:

  • Inspecting cars for structural damage
  • Fitting, grinding, TIG welding, MIG welding, and plasma cutters
  • Sanding, buffing, priming, and painting
  • Metal finishing, shrinking and filling techniques
  • Auto body electrical wiring systems
  • Maintain and operate spray equipment
  • Prepare and apply body fillers
  • Waterborne and solvent-borne painting technologies
  • Frame analysis and straightening techniques

When students graduate from Pennco Tech, they’re able to skillfully diagnose and repair body and fender damage, and restore the paint to a perfect shine. More than just a Collision Repair school, our program helps you learn how to achieve professional-quality results in an engaging, positive atmosphere. Successful graduates of this program may be eligible to take the industry-recognized certification test sponsored by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

NOTE: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required for admission to this program.
