Works Foundation Scholarship

Mike Rowe WORKS Foundation Scholarship

PROUD TO SUPPORT HANDS-ON TRAINING IN CAREERS THAT MATTER.

Ignite your path to success. Immerse yourself in the interactive, hands-on training careers of tomorrow.

“Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe is offering scholarships through his charitable foundation to people willing to learn a trade. Since 2008, Mike Rowe’s charity has given away a modest pile of money through the Work Ethic Scholarship Program to help people get trained for skilled jobs that are in demand. They’ve proven that opportunities in the trades aren’t alternatives to viable careers – they are viable careers.

The Work Ethic Scholarship Program looks for the next generation of aspiring workers who will work smart and hard. It’s about the people who share hard-working values and understand the importance of work ethic, personal responsibility, delayed gratification, and a positive attitude. They look for people willing to go above and beyond to get the job done.

Over the years the scholarship program has given away over $5 million. On the official page for the scholarship contest, it states that all applicants must sign Rowe’s “S.W.E.A.T. Pledge,” a 12-point treatise designed to hold its signer to Rowe’s own standards of what makes someone worthy of such a gift.

If you are someone who shows up early, stays late, and is a hard worker, day in and day out, you’re invited to apply. To learn more about this program, and for more requirements, click here https://www.mikeroweworks.org/scholarship/

I enjoyed all my teachers. They made it interesting and challenging. I enjoyed going back to school at the age of 48! Career Services was a big help to me. Danielle was great. She helped me with my resume and showed me how to apply. I got the job with Dietz and Watson! Pennco Tech was the right choice for me as I get ready to start my career.
