As a student in the medical field, having resources at your disposal to help you study and to expand your knowledge is critical. Whether you are enrolling in pharmacy technician or medical assistant training at our Camden County or Bucks County campus, Pennco Tech makes it a priority to do everything we can to make sure you have the tools to succeed — and that includes providing such resources to help you achieve your goals.
The following apps are ones that medical students regularly use to help pass exams and prepare them for their careers:
CMA Test Prep by Med Preps LLC
This app has thousands of practice questions for our medical students to use as a study aid for their upcoming exams. The questions provided are updated continuously based on actual CMA exams and provide detailed explanations as to why each answer is the correct one. Many consider this to be the most comprehensive study guide available for those looking for a better way to prepare for exams.
It’s worth noting, however, that while this app is free to download, there is a PRO version you will need to upgrade to for full access. With that said, the fee may be worthwhile for some students, given how comprehensive this app is for studying.
If you’re currently enrolled in or are interested in our pharmacy technician program, pay special attention to this one! This app can help with quick pill identification, as well as information on over 6,000 different insurance plans. Epocrates also keeps you up-to-date with the latest information on recalls and developments from the FDA, making sure that you have all the information necessary to excel on the job.
Through this interactive app, you can reinforce your knowledge of human anatomy with 3D representations of the human body. Complete with animations and different view settings, Visual Anatomy can help you review important information that may show up on your exams as it pertains to the human body. Not only will you feel well-prepared to ace your exams — but the memorable images will keep the information fresh in your brain!
This comprehensive app includes a variety of tools that medical students can use as a reference. Study up on key terms through their medical library, share important medical documents with the Flash Drive feature, or play word games to help prepare you for exams with Snap Word — this app has just about everything! With so many features and helpful tools all crammed into one app, it makes sense to keep this on your phone or tablet.
